Facilities:
Pyrosteel's world class facility was
constructed in 1997 for the heat treatment, cold finishing
and suppy of
engineering alloy steel bars. Our plant and equipment include:
- Gas fired tilt furnaces, 7 metres long, 3 metres wide
and 1.9 metres high (inside dimensions)
- 100,000 litre quench tanks utilising both water and
polymer quench
- Sophisticated transfer car method for loading/unloading
and quenching operations
- Fully computerised control systems
- 2 black bar reelers
- Large Lathe Capable of machine bars to 600mm diameter
by 9 metres in length
- Peeling and Centreless Grinding Equipment
- 1,500 mt press straightening operation
- NATA Registered Laboratory
